I keep growing more and more comfortable approaching some of the more fascinating people I come across in my travels (despite my continued concerns that one day I will get my ass kicked) I've said this before but it bears repeating: the more I share with these folks before pointing the camera at them, the more gets shared back. And the more comfortable everyone is. The huge bonus: I get to hear the most fascinating (poignant, charming, hilarious, heart-wrenching, joy-filled) stories.
